Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of doing nails. I would practice with toothpicks, making small flowers and patterns on nails. As I grew older, that dream stayed with me, and I even took a few small nail courses. However, I realized that I didn”t have a deep understanding of the importance of formal training-especially when it comes to knowing the health aspects of working with clients’ hands and following the right procedures.

I chose Cosmo Beauty College not only because it’s located close to my home, but also because the cost was much more affordable compared to other schools. Despite being more budget-friendly, it offers a wealth of information and resources. The school provided a flexible payment plan, which made it easier for me to pursue my education without added financial stress. The environment at Cosmo Beauty made me feel like I belonged, I felt very welcomed by the school community from day one, and I knew it was the right place to turn my lifelong dream into a reality.

The program didn’t just teach me technical skills; it helped me grow as a person. Although I had taken a few small nail courses before, I didn’t fully understand the importance of comprehensive training, especially regarding the health and safety aspects of working with clients ‘ hands. Now that I have completed my education, I feel much more confident in the procedures I perform. I appreciate the dedication it takes to be a professional in this industry. What started as a childhood dream has now turned into a fulfilling career. I love seeing the smiles of satisfaction on the faces of the people who gives me the opportunity to work on their hands, especially when I create a special nail design for them. It’s been a life-changing experience, giving me the chance to embrace a talent I’ve carried with me since I was young.

I found my passion for nails in 2022 when I learned how to do my nails at home. I loved having this type of self-care time and diving into my creative/artistic side. It has helped me express myself through art on my nails or as I like to call them, tiny canvases. Finding this passion has led me to pursue a manicuring career. My first step was to get my license! Getting my license was super important to me in order to become a professional manicurist. This ensured safety for myself & future clients!

Getting my license also meant establishing credibility, security, and knowledge. I chose Cosmo Beauty College because it aligned with my schedule and fit my financial budget. During my journey in school,  I met some really talented people along the way who have taught me many insightful things about the beauty industry. I am grateful for everything I have learned throughout my time here. My future endeavor is to be an independent nail artist in a private studio, where I can make women feel beautiful through their nails!

I chose the esthetician program because I’ve been a makeup artist for 10 years and wanted to get licensed and expand my knowledge and later on open my own business. I chose Cosmo Beauty College because they have amazing teachers, and amazing staff. Also, the fact that they constantly have promotions going on is always a plus. Being able to finish school when I was going through a hard time; the Principal, teachers, Lupe and Tracy always encouraging and always supportive.
